Union Square Farmers Market - N. York

I went to NY on Thursday and I visited the famous Union Square farmers market. I used to live a block from the market and I just love going there on Saturday. You can get fresh fruits, veggies, honey, cheeses, bread, flowers etc. there and if you are lucky you might even bump into some famous chef like Mario Batali or Bobby Flay. I did ;) Here are some of the pictures I took.

Vegetables
Cherries

Heirloom tomatoes
Fresh garlic
Freshly baked bread

Apples
Radish & beets
Sunflowers
Peaches

Gert,
Did you get any of the vege or fruits?

I love the sunflower... one of my favourite flower in the summer.

Cat, I bought some sourdough bread and honey but not the fruits and veggies. They really look good isn't it.

Wah ! Your pictures are so colourful.

And the cherries.. I am sure they are real cheap. I just bought some cherries today and it cost me $13 for just 880g :(

Must savour every bite !

Yeah Nonya, we have many varieties of cherries here and is $1.99 a pound. Same goes to strawberries so I am stuffing my face with it ;)

I am so envy why the overseas fresh markets, the veg and the fruits is so so so nice and fresh. How I wish we have it over here.

Sue, when I was living in N. York and California I will visit the farmers market every week but here in PA in hard to find. Why don't you come to the US for holiday with your mother next year?
