Oatmeal Butter Fish

I was at Sue's blog and saw her Cereal Crispy Fish and it look so good. So I finally get to cooked this dish for dinner.

Ingredients :

2 fish fillets - cut to bite size pieces
1/2 tsp of salt
1/4 tsp of pepper
1 egg white
2 tbsp of corn flour

Mixed all the above and fry it in hot oil until golden brown. Remove and drain the oil on paper towel and set aside. Remove all the oil from wok.

2 shallots - thinly slice
2 cloves of garlic - chopped
8 curry leaves
3 bird eyes chilies - chopped
1 red chili - chopped
1/2 cup of quick oats
1 egg yolk
2 tbsp of butter
1/2 tsp of sugar
salt and pepper to taste

Heat up the butter in the wok and stir fry the shallots and garlic until lightly brown. Add in curry leaves, chilies and stir fry for a few second and add in the beaten egg yolk. Continue to stir fry for 10 second and add in the oats. Stir fry until the oats turn golden brown then add sugar, salt and pepper to taste and then add in the fried fish fillets. Mix well and served.

Hello there, popped over from Rita's blog. Only a gourmet cook can look at another's picture and come up with her own, an improvement too.
Sure looks good!
Happy cooking to you, and have a nice day. UL.

That looks absolutely delicious, Gert. I first heard of cooking seafood with Oatmeal when my mom dished out Oatmeal Butter Prawns during my trip home. I was addicted! Fish lagi best, I think.
