Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and you can see all the store shelves are overflowing with boxes and boxes of chocolate. Recently I was contacted by GuyLian, asking me if I wanted to try some of their chocolate and do a Valentine’s Day Giveaway. Of course I said yes. I never turn down a box of good quality chocolate.
Guylian “ultra-indulgent” luxurious chocolate seashells are 100% pure, silky smooth, dark or white Belgian Chocolate and are filled with rich, decadent creamy chocolate praline truffle. The Guylian brand dates back to the late 1950’s when Guy Foubert, a passionate Belgian Chocolataire married his love, Liliane who then joined names creating Chocolaterie Guylian. Today, Guylian crafts the finest authentic Belgian Chocolate Truffles, utilizing the original handmade recipe of Guy and Liliane. The original signature truffle recipe is still made in small-batch copper kettles exclusively by Guylian’s Master Chocolatiers in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium.
I always like the beautiful seashells design of their chocolate. They were so cute that I almost didn't want to bite into it. From the first bite I was in love! I just love their Extra Dark Chocolate Praline Truffles. The dark chocolate seashell truffles have a 74% dark cocoa shell with an extra dark and decadent chocolate praline truffles center. I took small bites of the chocolate and let each bite melt in my mouth. It was pure chocolate heaven! As for Carlos who has extra sweet tooth prefer their Chocolate Praline Truffles. He said their chocolate is very rich and creamy. I have to agree with him on that.

My most memorable Valentine's Day was two years ago, when I was pregnant with my first son (I'm now pregnant with our second baby!). I'd been vegan before I got pregnant, but then when I was pregnant I started intensely craving meat. I started eating meat shortly before Valentine's Day, but felt sort of guilty about it. To make me feel better, my husband cooked a really fancy dinner on Valentine's Day-- filet mignon with a mushroom cream sauce with truffle oil. It was delicious, and really hit the spot with my pregnancy cravings!

I cannot resist chocolate either. My husband and I are not so into valentine's day even when we were just boy friend and girl friend then. But I do remember 2 years back we happned to have time for dinner togther before picking up the kids. It just happened to be Valentine's day. It was just a normal everyday dinner. No dress-up and fancy resturant thing. My husband joked taht this is as romantic as it get for us for Valanetine's day. But I felt really loved when he remembered to order my favourite dish. I didn not tell him that. Just something I like to keep in my heart. These days Valentine's day are spent making cards for my kids to bring to school for friends weeks ahead.

Eight years ago I was planning for an upcoming kidney transplant. My husband and I had only been married four months. Little did we know we had some scary times ahead of us. On Valentine's Day that year he told me he would be by my side every step of the way. And you know what? He has kept that promise through some very rough times. He's the best Valentine ever!!!

My most memorable Valentine's day was also my first Valentine's Day living in Venice Italy, everything was so romantic!
I wish I could say that it was also the day that I met my future husband, but I can't. That didn't happen until almost 6 months later.
It was definitely worth the wait though.
Gotta love the Italian guys and Belgian chocolate, amazing things can happen when the two combine :+)

My most memorable Valentine's Day was my first with my current boyfriend. It was 7 years ago and I was excited because it would be my first real Valentine's Day with a great guy. We went on a double-date with a couple who started dating a month after us (and they just got married in August!) to a local restaurant. I remember the guys dressing up so nice, which was quite a change from the usual college attire of jeans and band tee shirts!
my most memorable v-day was my first date with my then-bf. :)
I have eaten these chocolates before and love it to bits! Good luck all...may the best man or woman wins:D
My most memorable Valentine's Day was 3 years ago. I was just having a bad winter and was at a bad job. Very busy with 2 little girls and no time for myself. Without letting me in on it, my 2 girls and husband bought dinner, brought it home, and spread a blanket in the living room and we proceeded to have a Valentine's Day 'picnic'. It was so simple and the food was not elaborate by any means but we had the most wonderful time giggling about what we were doing the whole time. I still look at the pictures of that night when i need a pick-me-up.
I would have to say my favorite v-day was when my hubby surprised me with a mini vacation. I was off that weekend and he had made secret plans and we went to Austin for the weekend. darlabeck(at)yahoo(dot)com
My most memorable V-day would be the day in college where I received 4 roses from 4 different guys in a day. :)
My favorite was the year my sweetie cooked me an entire dinner, re-creating the first dinner we had together...spaghetti, garlic bread and chocolate brownies. Poor dear never cooks so it was nothing fancy, all out of a box and a jar, the kitchen was a mess, but it was so thoughtful and full of loving intention that it remains my favorite.
My most memorable Valentine's Day was when I bought myself some Valentine's candy.
My memeorable one was at work my husband surprise me with a rose and box of chocolate. Now he is gone over 7 years but always remenber special Valentine Day Gift.
Yes I cried to myself at time on Valentine missing him always.

my most memorable valentine's day was 5 years ago. my now-fiance, then-boyfriend made me a silly version of green eggs and ham (he made a green loaf of challah as the ham, and cucumbers and honey for the eggs) and also had a fox (stuffed animal dog) in a box... it Seussically wonderful.
My most memorable Valentine's Day was with my then boyfriend and now husband, 5 years ago. Everything did not happen as planned. He picked me up late, we got lost going to the restaurant, the restaurant was so crowded and busy we had to serve ourselves water and peanuts, and finally the food was disappointing. But we had a good laugh over everything and till now we remember that day and how we will NOT eat out on V Day again!:)

My most memorable Valentine's Day was just last year. Earlier that day, my boyfriend of 2 weeks sent heart balloons and a handwritten card (which I still have) to my 2nd period class during school, in front of my friends. It was very sweet. Later that day, I had gone to the mall with friends and one of the balloons accidentally flew away to the ceiling where I couldn't reach it. After I left, I found out later that my boyfriend had also went to the mall, and he saw the balloon and knew I was there too. The feeling of love even when they're not there with you... that's what made us last so long, even to this day. :)

My senior year of high school - a boy bought me a ring. I thought I would marry him, but thankfully I wised up, ditched that small town and traveled the world. It was pretty sweet and special at the time though.

4th grade was a very memorable Valentine's Day. I can still remember opening my box of valentine cards and seeing one from THE boy...Young love, and memories.
My memorable valentine's day is when I worked with my best friend Sandy in junior high selling homemade chocolate hearts and cakes to our friends at school. We stayed up all night, but we had tons of fun baking, packing, writing little love notes, & delivering the goodies with my best friend and my now husband Henry. I still kept the envelope where we collected our first earned money.
my most memorable valentine's day is when my husband got a reservation to eat at this steakhouse ive been wanting to try and he picked me up from work with flowers in hand! my email is xlambgirlx@gmail.com
My most memorable Valentine's Day was a Cuddle and Bubble with champagne and, of course, chocolate with my husband. We even cheated and ate the top layer of our wedding cake even though we were supposed to wait until our first anniversary. It was a really great time at Cape Cod, we had a blast.
Oops, I'm the one who wrote the Cuddle and Bubble Valentine's Day but I forgot to put my e-mail! It's pamcharro@aol.com. thanks and happy V-Day!
It was a stroll at the lovely park after our fabulous dinner at our favorite restaurant. It was a cold winter evening. The wind was whistling. But we were oblivious for we have each other to keep us warm. Then he sat me down on a park bench, went on his knees and pop the question. The engagement ring has both our names in individual alphabets around the ring as part of the design. Yes! Yes! Yes! was my reply.
Still beautiful memories after 15 years. I stand amazed and never ceased to be thankful for the blessing of a smart, thoughtful, caring and romantic husband.
