A Year Old!!!

My blog is a year old now. Food blogging has brought many things into my life especially all the wonderful people I’ve known virtually and in person. I am glad that I am able to share my passion for cooking and baking with all of you.

I wanted to thank my niece Diana for creating this blog for me and my husband for putting up with me. Stalling him to take all my food pictures before he can dig in and each and everyone of you for reading and trying out some of my recipe and also taking the time to comment.

Once again thank you everyone for stopping by and please keep coming back. I made this specially cup cakes just for you :)

Happy Birthday! You name is always mentioned in Cat's and beachlover's blog.

I'm starting to venture into baking, so your site is very valuable to me.

Question: Do you sift your flour? How do you ensure the cupcakes don't have a dome like muffins? :-)

ICook4Fun said...

Thank you Rita & Beachlover. Glad that you like some of my recipes :)

Hooi Imm, thanks for dropping by. The answer to your questions.

I always sift my flour for my baking.

Normally cupcakes don't raise as high as muffins because cupcakes is like a miniature cake and is much lighter and its texture isn't strong enough as muffins to give the heights. Also do not overfill the cupcakes pan. You should only fill 1/2 or 3/4 full. But some do raise more than others. The factors can be the oven temp and amount of baking powder.

Hope this help and good luck in all your baking. Hope to see more of you here :)
