Chocolate Chip Pancakes

I don’t normally make breakfast but if Diana is around I will try making it for her. She came home for Thanksgiving so I made these for our breakfast one morning. Since I don’t have any chocolate chips in pantry I just added some chopped chocolate to the pancake. To serve we had it with some butter, sliced bananas and maple syrup,

Ingredients:

220 gram flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp sugar
¼ tsp salt
2 eggs
300ml milk
1 tbsp melted butter

Topping:

Some chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
Bananas – sliced

1. Mix all the pancakes ingredients together and set it aside to rest for 20 minutes.
2. Set a non-stick pan over medium heat. Brush a bit of butter over the pan. Pour about ¼ cup of batter into the pan. Sprinkle some chocolate chips or chopped chocolate to the top.
3. When bubbles appear on top of the batter, flip the pancake over to the other side. Cook until lightly brown.
4. Serve pancake warm with butter, sliced bananas and some maple syrup.

I've never fancied having plain pancakes. I think that if my Mom's willing to add chocolate chips inside, I'll definitely polish the plate. =D

Anon, I am not sure which part of Malaysia are you at. If you are in KL you should be able to find it in Cold Storage, TMC at Bangsar or Hock Choon at Ampang should have it too. When I used to live in KL I get all my imported groceries from Cold Storage.
