Crispy Fried Chicken Wings

My mom used to make chicken wings like this once a while for us. She never cooks her wings any other way except frying them. I had features a few other wing recipes here like Crispy, Sweet and Sticky Chicken Wings, Grilled Mayonnaise Chicken Wings, Honey BBQ Wings, Oven Baked Chicken Wings, etc but this is just a plain and simple fried one. I just marinate it with a few ingredients and coated it with some flour and fried it. Delicious!

Ingredients:

10-12 chicken wings – clean, cut and tips removed

Seasonings:

2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp ginger juice
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp chili powder
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp salt

Coating:

3 tbsp rice flour
3 tbsp flour

1. Rinse the chicken and pat dry. Combined all the seasonings and toss the chicken in the mixture. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
2. Combined both flour in a plate. Remove the wings and coat it evenly with the flour.
3. Heat up some oil in frying pan over medium heat. Fry the wings until golden brown and cooked through.
4. Drain the oil on paper towel, allow it to cool slightly and serve it with your favorite sauce.

I love fried chicken wings and so does my other half! And the ones you'd made look so delicious!

One question though, does the batter stay crisp over sometime?

Love2cook, I guess this is the most prefer way of cooking the wings.

Cathy, thanks.

Sonia, yes this is the way my mom cook the wings.

Sushi, of course you can but make sure you chop the garlic really fine if not it may burn quickly before the wing is cook.

Kristy, thank you. You too have a great weekend.

Reese, how come. Try again as it is not that difficult.

Alice, thanks.

Travellingfoodies, It will stay crispy for a few hours.

Ann, the heat of the oil must be right if not you will get soggy wings.

Jennifurla, ha ha are you going to make some?

Shereen, yes this is specially for you especially the tips ha ha..

Jess, mine too.

Lena, actually we don't eat wings often. Over here they sell it in big packet about 3-4 pounds so I have to split it up and cook it a few times that is why you see quite a few wings recipes here :)

LCOM, yeap.

Cheah, me too. Simple and finger licking good.
