I am so loving this kuih. Btw, what size of pan did you use? I so want to make this!

Gert,
I too want to make this kuih and also have the same question as Little Corner of Mine. What size pan? The directions sounds easy, is it really that easy to make?

LCOM & JOAT, I used 8" round pan. It is easy to make :) :)I used the frozen pre-grated ubi kayu I bought from the Asian store so save the hassle of grating it.

Kuih talam is one of the kuih I always buy at Pasar Malam if I happened to see them... I like the top layer better than the bottom one...

Eh Gert, I have a question. Is your neighbor selling their house?

Cat, one of my neighbor is selling their house. You nak beli ke? ha ha..

Envy, you can make the bottom layer with brown sugar or palm sugar :)

Jun, for us here is better to buy the ready grated one because the fresh one sometime is not so fresh. Kadang kadang keras macam kayu or dah hitam kat dalam. End up buang semua.

DrNo, he he hee... mengidam yea you ,tak pe, suruh hubby you pergi pasar malam beli ha ha...

Oooooo!!!! Yummy-licious...I can't wait to try this recipe. Can you tell me where can I buy grated tapioca/cassava? The one and only asia store here doesnt carry it:( There is walmart & kroger here. Does anybody know if I can buy it online?

Great job, btw!!!

ICook4Fun said...

Anon, you can only get the frozen grated cassava at the Asian store. I don't think you can get it from walmart or kroger.
