Baked Buffalo Wings with Blue Cheese Dipping Sauce

These easy to make hot wings are crispy without being fried. With the sports season around now they are great for snacking while watching the game. All it takes is just 10 minutes to prepare, an hour to marinate and then stick it in the oven for an hour and it is done. I like it spicier so I added a bit more hot sauce to it but you can adjust the amount to your liking.

Ingredients:

10 chicken wings
Some celery sticks

Marinate:

2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp cayenne pepper
2 cloves garlic – chopped
½ tsp black pepper
2 tbsp honey
¼ cup hot pepper sauce
1 tsp salt

Blue Cheese Dipping Sauce:

2 tbsp crumbled blue cheese
2 tbsp mayo
4 tbsp sour cream
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp sugar
Salt and pepper to taste

1. Wash and clean the wings and cut it into three pieces through the joints. Discard wing tips. Pan it dry with paper towel. In a large mixing bowl, combined all the marinate ingredients. Mix really well. 2. Add in the wings and give the wings a few toss, making sure the marinate covers all the wings. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for an hour or 2.
3. Line a baking sheet with foil and set it aside. In the meantime prepare the blue cheese dipping sauce.
4. In a bowl whisk together all the ingredients except the blue cheese. Once it is well combined. Fold in the blue cheese. Give it a quick stir, cover and let it sit in the fridge for at least an hour before serving.
5 . Pre-heat the oven to 375 degree F. Lightly grease the baking pan with some vegetable oil. Arrange the chicken wings on the baking pan. Bake the wings for 45 -55 minutes or until the chicken is cook and lightly brown. Turn the wings over halfway during the baking so they are evenly cooked.
6. Remove from oven and serve it with celery sticks and dipping sauce.

Oh my gosh, your buffalo wings look so so yummy, especially with the blue cheese dipping. My favourite! Looks even better than the ones from TGIF.

Shereen, hope you like it. By the way I still can't find the buffalo wings sauce that you told me about.

Phong Hong, ya it is not too difficult to make it yourself.
