Dark Chocolate Bark with Sea Salt, Macadamia Nuts and Dried Fruits

This bark is by far one of the easiest desserts to make. You can mix up a batch of it in 10 minutes before leaving it to set up. The best part of this bark is you can put your own spin of topping ingredients to it like nuts, dried fruits, toasted coconut, candied ginger etc.. The combinations are endless.

Macadamia White Chocolate Chip Cookies

I am never a fan of white chocolate because I find them way too sweet for my liking. I am not sure why I bought a bag of it and it has been sitting in my fridge for the longest time. I finally used some of it to make this batch of cookies. I added some macadamia nuts to it so that I don’t have to put too much of the white chocolate chips. I baked them a bit longer as I prefer crunchier cookies rather than chewy. But if you like chewy cookies just bake it to lightly brown.
On the side note I have not been very active in my blogging now. I am more into FB, Dayre and Instagram. You can follow me at Instagram user name Gertrudewan

Chinese Style Prawn Fritters

I made these last year when a couple of friends came over for tea. I like this thin kind of fritters as it is much crispier. I used the recipe of Nasi Lemak Lover but I replaced the chives with spring onions and add a bit of pepper to the batter. It turns out really good and it was well received by my friends.

Spam Buns

I always have a can or two of Spam in my pantry for emergency. Emergency like I ran out of protein in my freezer but people who knew me know that will never happen ha ha I always have access of protein in my freezer. Anyway, the two cans I have are very near to the expiration date and I decided to use one of it for the filling of these sweet buns. I gave half of the buns away and the rest we just devour it in 2 days. I know is unhealthy but who doesn't like Spam :) It was that good. For the buns, I just used my regular sweet bread dough and this dough is really good as it stays soft even the second days. In fact I used this same dough recipe to make some tuna buns a few days later.
