Asian Salad with Grilled Shrimps

I made this very simple salad with grilled shrimp for dinner last week. I marinated 1/2 pound medium sized shrimp with salt and pepper, Cajun seasoning and some olive oil and then grill with my George Foreman grill.

As for the salad I used Jicama, carrot, cucumber, green grapes, some pomelo and red pepper. The dressing is very simple. I whisked together some sesame oil, olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, a bit of sugar and pepper.

Tossed the greens together with the dressing and top it with shrimps and sprinkle some toasted sesame seeds, ground peanuts and garnish it with some cilantro. Lastly drizzle some extra dressing on top.

This salad is so pretty and sounds good too. We use Cajun seasoning quite a bit but haven't tried this. Will do now! Thanks for sharing, Gert.

Geez...I have a small George Foreman Grill too and just used it to grill some shrimps! That grill is so useful, isn't it! Lovely salad!

Rita, this salad is really simply and easy to make :)

Lesley, forget about the salad in M'sia. Go for CKT and Asam Laska :)

Louisa, I too just love the crunchy bits LOL.

LCOM, it is healthy :)

Zue, I pun suka Jicama and carrots too.

Sue, Jicama is sengkuang. If I add cili padi Carlos might find it weird :)

Cat, you can get pomelo from supermarket now. Is not as sweet as the one from back home but is not bad at all :)

Ummi, it is yummy!!!

Kath, make some for yourself since you can get all the ingredients easily back home.

Tigerfish, we used or George Foreman for everything from grilling meat to sandwiches :) It is really useful.
