Thanksgiving

This is our thanksgiving spread. My 5th thanksgiving here in the States but Diana's first. Both she and hubby wanted the whole turkey so now I am left with so much of leftovers in the freezer. 6 hours.. That's how long I took to prepare the meal. Without any body's help, mind you...My husband loves the turkey and all the trimmings..

As Americans would know, the day after Thanksgiving is BLACK FRIDAY!!! a.k.a SHOPPING/CRAZY DAY~!!! We first headed to Target at 6am and by that time, it was packed with people. Next, we head to Kohl's but we got out of there real quick after seeing the cashier line going round the store. Finally, (our most anticipated) shopping destination ;) At LANCASTER FACTORY OUTLETS. Discounts everywhere!!! Just look at what we bought.

Now, we look forward for BOXING DAY shopping, after Christmas day~!!

Buddies Meeting

11th November 2006, a few of Buddies members met at my house, Zuraida, Choy Foong, Saw Choo, Ray and their spouses. My husband was attending some wood-working show at York, PA. ;) I cooked a few Malaysian dishes like Rendang, Curry Chicken, Nasi Impit, Kuah Lodeh, and baked Chicken Wings. Zuraida brought Wajik, Ray brought roasted duck and Saw Choo brought chicken roll. We had a wonderful time getting to know each other. My niece, Diana was the appointed photographer for the day. Here are some pictures that she took.

This is the food for the day.

The group enjoying their makan.

She looks so happy and very cantik (pretty) in her pink baju.

We were digging into our pot of gold and look what we found ...?! A box full of Malaysian goodies from good 'ol Ray of My Taste of Asia www.mytasteofasia.com . It looks like Christmas time for us.

My first time ever Blogging

Welcome, Welcome.. This is my first time ever blogging. I am trying so hard to think of something interesting to write about. But, of course, it's Sunday morning = the most lazy day of the week. ;) So, I will try to write something to introduce myself to people who's going to read this fresh-new blog of mine. I'm previously from California, a place which I sooo love but (how unfortunate) my husband and I had to move to Pennsylvania due to his job reasons. Life here isn't as interesting as living in Cali ;) *I'm still adjusting to life here, mind me* but I found a few good friends here in PA through MyBuddies.net. In case you're wondering, MyBuddies.net is a forum online specifically for Malaysian living abroad to talk just about anything.

I created this blog mainly for family and friends to know what's going on with my life here in US. I love cooking and baking *so, you will see lots of that in this blog ^_^ *
