East Meets West

This is what I served most of the time from our kitchen. My hubby will have his Western food and I will have my Asian food. Sometimes I wonder if any of you face the same problem as me :) I don't mind having Western food but I still need my Malaysian food from time to time. Hubby don't mind Chinese food either as long as is American Chinese food (from the Chinese buffet) because to him our Malaysian food are simply too strong smell and flavour . But I am lucky in many ways because he is not fussy eater. I can just prepared him a simple salad or a sandwich and for me will be a bowl of fried rice or noodles.

My plate of Char Kueh Teow :)

Carlos plate of roast chicken sandwich :)
I will post the recipe later.

PJ, we are n the same boat. Sometime I pun pening kepala jugak untuk Carlos.

Beachlover, your CKT a lot of 'liew' mine only prawns :) aiyoh, if I cook bak kut teh I think Carlos will stay in the basement whole day long :) :)

Lia, susah jugak ya marrying someone outside our own kind race :)

Sue, here see hum comes frozen and is like eating rubber. Once a while I can see the fresh one in Chinatown but too expensive. Is like $5.99 a pound. For the shell itself weight a pound so not worth buying it.

Pearly, at least you cook western food for a few person me only cook for one.

Hi,

I am M'sian Chinese and my hubby is Caucasian. I do cook everyday (except weekends) and same as you, I enjoy Malaysian foods while he prefers western foods. But yeah, I am lucky too as he's not that fussy either :)

Anyway, I enjoy reading your blog. You are such an excellent cook!:)
