BBQ Ribs ( I )

I went to Wegman's this afternoon and saw some beautiful ribs and that reminds me of Beachlover ribs. So I called hubby up to see if he wants to eat some ribs for dinner tonight and he said he don't mind at all. I didn't grill the ribs but cooked them in the oven for two hours.

I season the ribs with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, chili flakes, lemon salt and a little bit of sugar. Marinate for at least 2 hours.

Then wrap the ribs tightly in two layers of aluminium foil and slow bake in 300 degree F over for 1.5 hours. Open the foil and base the ribs with some store bought BBQ sauce and increase the oven temperature to 375 degree and continue to bake without the foil until it tender and brown. It will take another 1/2 an hour.

I served the ribs with some salad.

The foil keeps the ribs moist, is it ? I have tried roasting ribs before but they turn out hard and dry. I will keep this tip in mind the next time I do ribs .

Cat, Carlos is a very easy going guy so tak susah to cook for him :)

Blur Mommy, thanks for stopping by here. Hope you will try making ribs this way.

Lia, happy cooking.

Nonya, wrapping in foil will creates steam so the ribs will remain juicy and it cook faster.

Beachlover, I bake the ribs because I wanted to slow cook it. I will used broil only if I want to cook a steak or brown the topping of dessert. Your ribs works too using broil so is ok. Maybe next time you try baking it and see if there is a difference.

Sue, my hubby is pretty easy when come to food except don't give him durian or our 'heavy' M'sia food :)

Isha, is really finger licking good :)

Rita, :) :) cook the ribs this weekend for David.
